The SLS was AMAZING. Living in luxury and the house keeping caters to anything you need. ANYTHING. We stayed on the 7th floor of this beautiful pink building and Brenda was our house keeper. She is so sweet and caring. We will 100% be back for sure.

I planned an impromptu girls trip to the Bahamar SLS having an awful week. I could not have dreamt up a better vacation to cheer me up. The concierge was friendly and attentive. They gave me a complimentary upgrade and the suite was exquisite. The living room was spacious and airy, the kitchen came equipped with our very own washer, dryer, and fridge. The bedroom featured the most comfortable king sized bed and there was even a vanity area where we could get ready. Did I mention we had two balconies overlooking the pool? The maids kept the room stocked with fresh towels, water, and coffee daily. They were gracious enough to clean the room around our busy schedule. The wait staff at all of the restaurants provided incredible service, and the resort was absolutely beautiful. SLS is now my favorite hotel at Bahamar and I would give it a 10/10.

This is my second time staying at the property the first time was with work. The property overall is beautiful. The staff are generally friendly and the food is fine to good. The rooms are clean and housekeeping is really on top of things. This is where the positives end for me. The food is beyond overpriced especially when including the vat tax and service charges. Think 39 dollars for tacos and 27 dollars for a burger and no fries. 6 dollar diet cokes. This for me wouldn’t have given the hotel 2 stars. It’s the front desk service and management of the hotel. My credit cards were stolen out of my bag during my stay at the waterpark. I haven’t the slightest clue as to if it was an employee or not, what I will say is that the timing on everything was suspicious. The waterpark closed at 5 and at 4:45 the individual made an attempt on a charge. I was notified by my card company at 6pm. Within an hour of all cards being shut down i filed a report with lost and found. And almost immediately the now inactive cards with the wallet were returned to security. One would think booking this hotel through Amex and using the Amex card would provide some synchronization in case of situation such as this. One would also think that hotel built in 2017 would have apple pay to facilitate digital payments. The hotel decided to decline all further charges to my room without the physical newly issued credit card. To complicate matters more there is no apple pay so they cannot accept the digital version of the new card. They can only give you a portal to enter your physical card number which you dont have. Also the hotel does not take cash unless you want to go to the front desk and pay for every individual charge as it happens. When explaining the theft and the entire situation to the front desk manager on duty they basically shrugged and said “sorry nothing we can do you need the physical card or need to pay your $71 balance and any other charges you may make during your stay” They also refused to work with Amex supervisors who explained the situation and tried to offer a solution due to the absence of a physical card. Even though they a the hotel was booked through Amex travel as part of their hotel collection. Holding a customer hostage over $71 and essentially telling them “sorry you can starve” even though you have already spent thousands on the hotel at the hotel un the casino is the worst customer service I have ever received at any hotel. And I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Highly recommend skipping this place or bringing extra cards and watching your things

Lack of communication

This review is based on communication or lack thereof before my stay. I'm staying at the hotel this week and I'm SOOO happy I decided to change the reservation to part SLS and the other half Rosewood. If it wasn't past the time to cancel my hotel for free, I would just change it and ONLY stay at Rosewood. I emailed SLS Baha Mar, 7 days ago about transportation and VIP fast track to the hotel and no one has responded!!! Also, two months ago I emailed about an excusion and I still have an outstanding question no one has responded too, I ended up booking a boat and seaplane outside of the damn hotel. WTF I sent the same email to Rosewood about the hotel transportation and vip service and I received an email immediately, with info which I have now signed up for. The lack of communication has changed my view of the hotel. This is basic stuff. I'm not looking to staying there. If you want consistent communication book Rosewood.

The customer service was exceptional. The team led by Sasha ensured we were satisfied every step of the way. In fact, they went above and beyond to accommodate us based upon our own personal request. Lorenzo and the other servers on the outside, boss. They were warm and friendly. Oh, did I mention the taste of the food? They food was delicious, however, I would have like more seasoning on my chicken. The lamp chop was perfectly done.
